Military Commitment Ceremony goes on tour

The annual Military Commitment Ceremony at Neshaminy High School was moved online this year with a video containing pre-recorded speeches and a reading of names to honor ten students who will be serving our country following graduation. Speakers included Neshaminy High School Principal Ryan Staub, Assistant Principal Tom Magdelinskas, District Director of Secondary Education Dr. Rob McGee and special guest PA Rep. Frank Farry.

On Thursday, May 21, a school bus tour visited the homes of each of the honorees to deliver a package of certificates from the PA House of Representatives and Senate along with an American flag, balloons and flowers. This was delivered to the students and their families by a small group of administrators, including the ceremony speakers, in a socially-distanced series of presentations that were recorded and added to the ceremony video.

The bus was escorted by a police vehicle from the Middletown Township Police Department and a fire utility vehicle from the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Department.
