Gamifying STEM: Building an Arcade

Eighth grade STEM stu­dents at Klinger Middle School cre­at­ed arcade games out of card­board, wood, PVC, elec­tron­ics, 3D print­ed mate­ri­als, and any­thing else they could get their hands on. They worked col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly to sketch out and design their games before the build process began. During the build process, they all found ways to improve and refine their games based on feed­back from oth­ers. Their final prod­ucts of an arcade cab­i­net, foos­ball table, skee-ball, and table-top bowl­ing were enjoyed by many stu­dents dur­ing their show­case.
