National Merit Semifinalists

Five members of the Pennsbury High School Class of 2025 have been named National Merit Semi-Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Congratulations to Parker Bowman, Gregory Galonsky, Noam Gold, Lily Goldman, Vinay Ruparelia, and Kevin Ye!

Over 1.3 million juniors from approximately 21,000 high schools entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. These academically talented high school seniors can continue in the competition to be named a National Merit Finalist in February, with an opportunity to earn one of the 6,870 National Merit Scholarships totaling $26 million that will be announced in spring 2025.
