The Valley Elementary second grade students recently went on their first virtual field trip. In their most recent science unit, they had been learning about the life cycle of a plant, from the seed to a flowering plant.
As a culminating activity, they had the opportunity to virtually visit Longwood Gardens to further explore the life cycle of a plant by going behind-the-scenes of Longwood Gardens and discover how the horticulturalists prepare the spectacular displays. The trip was interactive and provided students with the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the Longwood staff.
