150 CBSD STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN PACKING EVENT FOR FOOD RELIEF ORGANIZATION

Central Bucks stu­dents, 75 from Central Bucks High School West and 75 from Lenape Middle School, par­tic­i­pat­ed in the Feed My Starving Children event at Delaware Valley University.

Teams of stu­dents hand packed meals that will be dis­trib­uted to chil­dren around the world by Feed My Starving Children®, is a non­prof­it com­mit­ted to feed­ing starv­ing chil­dren. Their approach is to have chil­dren and adults pack meals specif­i­cal­ly for­mu­lat­ed for under­nour­ished chil­dren and ship these meals to dis­tri­b­u­tion part­ners around the world.

Central Bucks stu­dent Paige Sokolis was instru­men­tal in orga­niz­ing the event while a ninth-grade stu­dent at Lenape, orga­nized the event again as a tenth grad­er at Central Bucks High School West. 

The stu­dents worked along­side hun­dreds of oth­er vol­un­teers to pack tens of thou­sands of sta­ble, shelf-ready meals of soy, rice, dehy­drat­ed veg­eta­bles and vitamins.
