In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week in May, PSEA/MER and CAPS – Council for the Advancement of Public Schools, are spotlighting the amazing things happening in our schools thanks to the professionals who work there. The theme of their spring media campaign is “Unsung Heroes.”
We are delighted to announce that Bensalem social worker, Jacqui Owens was one of four professionals selected to represent the many professionals in her field as an “Unsung Hero.”
As a social worker, Jacqui works in professional partnerships with teachers and support personnel to provide an educational system where students can realize their true potential. Each and every day she helps struggling students and their families dream differently. She helps our students overcome obstacles to their education; while working with agencies and organizations helping to protect vulnerable children and adults.
