On October 20, 2018, the Neshaminy High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club hosted the second annual 5K Run/Walk for Charity, this year to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This charity is the current Pennsylvania FBLA State Project. Other FBLA chapters across the state are also finding ways to support the cause. NHS chapter officers and members planned, organized and worked the event, solicited donations and encouraged family and friends to participate.
The goal was to raise $2000 to donate for this very worthy cause. Because of the members’ enthusiasm and genuine desire to help our community, donations came pouring in and to date they have raised over $3,000. They can continue to accept donations through April, and are hoping this amount will greatly increase. All funds collected will be presented to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the state conference in April.
