District Administration magazine announced Palisades School District as one of the 45 districts nationwide named as a District of Distinction.
“Districts of Distinction was established by District Administration to honor school districts that are leading the way with new ideas that solve challenges. Honorees are selected based on the quantifiable results and replicability of their initiatives. The July 2018 Districts of Distinction honorees were selected by the magazine’s editors from numerous nominations.”
Palisades was honored for our Career Pathways Programs which continue to expand in flourish in our district. Our career pathways include: Medical Career Pathways, Global Studies Pathways, Business Pathways and our newly introduced Engineering Pathways. In these pathway programs, high school students have the opportunity to concentrate in an area of focus for future employment. In the case of the Medical Career Pathway Program, students are introduced to the opportunities available for employment at St. Luke’s Hospital and Coordinated Health, both educational partners with our district. Students also earn college credits by enrolling in the Dual Enrollment Program (basic transferable college courses) offered by Bucks County Community College at our high school.
