Springfield Elementary School was recognized at the State Level for “high fidelity implementation of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Program (PBIS).” This program, in its second year of implementation at Springfield Elementary highlights promotes positive behavior by recognizing students who are respectful, responsible and kind. In order to receive this honor, the Springfield team submitted an application that met the following criteria:
- In good standing of the PA Positive Behavior Support Network
- Supported by a PA Positive Behavior Support Facilitator, and
- Submitted 2016–17 annual data as required by the PAPBS Network program evaluator.
By meeting the “fidelity of implementation criteria,” our Springfield Elementary team demonstrated their careful commitment to building character and leadership among students at the elementary level.
NOTE: This program is being newly implemented at Durham Nockamixon and Tinicum Elementary Schools.
