The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) construction cluster joined the Philly Metro Division of Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, for a day of career exploration, career pathway discussions, and skill building on a recent field experience. This educational outing provided students with a unique opportunity to gain real-world insights into the construction industry, fostering their passion for construction and inspiring the next generation of builders.
The MBIT’s Construction Cluster is dedicated to preparing students for successful careers in the construction field. Aligning perfectly with MBIT’s mission, the field trip to Lennar’s Philly Metro Division offered students a firsthand look at the construction process and exposed them to the latest industry innovations and practices.
During the field trip, students had the chance to:
- Tour Lennar’s construction sites: Students were guided through active construction sites, which provided an immersive experience of various stages of the construction process, from site preparation to finishing touches.
- Engage with industry professionals: Experts and professionals were present to answer questions, share experiences, and provide valuable career advice to aspiring construction professionals.
- Gain Practical Knowledge: By observing construction equipment, techniques, and safety protocols in action, students will gain practical knowledge that complements their classroom learning.
