The Electrical Association of Philadelphia presents MBIT students with cash award!!

Middle Bucks Institute of Technology stu­dents in the Electrical Technology pro­gram com­pet­ed in an event host­ed by the Electrical Associate of Philadelphia (EAP). The EAP is a non-profit region­al trade asso­ci­a­tion with a diverse mem­ber­ship of about 400 com­pa­nies, includ­ing elec­tri­cal engi­neers, man­u­fac­tur­ers and rep­re­sen­ta­tives, whole­salers, util­i­ties, inspec­tors, and elec­tri­cal, HVAC, and con­trac­tors. EAP rep­re­sents the entire sup­ply chain with­in Philadelphia area. The Electrical Expo invit­ed Career and Technical High Schools to take part in the event, and fun competition.

The Electric Expo Students were asked to com­plete a series of tasks, fol­low event pro­ce­dures, and work togeth­er as a team to com­plete the assigned tasks. The first place win­ning team was from Middle Bucks and com­prised of three stu­dents: Christopher Bayer, a junior at William Tennent High School, Garrick Hill a junior at William Tennent High School, and Patrick Lafferty a junior at Central Bucks West. Ms. Sarah Hagy, Executive Director of EAP, was able to vis­it Middle Bucks on December 6, 2019 to present each stu­dent with a check for $50. Additionally, Ms. Hagy pre­sent­ed the Electrical Technology pro­gram with a check for $500 to be used for addi­tion­al edu­ca­tion­al pur­chas­es for the program.
