Opening Day at Palisades #paliserves

At the end of August, our teach­ers, staff and admin­is­tra­tors start­ed their school year with our Morning of Service.  This is the 3rd year that we have opened our school year in this very impor­tant and engag­ing way!  About 300 employ­ees par­tic­i­pat­ed in our Day of Service where 20 orga­ni­za­tions were engaged in this event.  These local orga­ni­za­tions shared their goals and mis­sion with our employ­ees, and wel­comed vol­un­teer ser­vice by our teams.  The morn­ing’s activ­i­ties com­bined team build­ing with oth­er employ­ees from across our dis­trict, while acquaint­ing our employ­ees with vol­un­teer ser­vice oppor­tu­ni­ties avail­able for stu­dents in our com­mu­ni­ty and sur­round­ing area.
