Council Rock High School South’s Marching Band takes 1st place at State Champs

On Saturday, October 27th the Council Rock High School South Marching Band won first place at the 2018 US Bands Group IV‑A Pennsylvania State Championships. With a score of 89.875 Council Rock High School South won all cap­tions includ­ing Music, Visual, Colorguard, Percussion, and Overall Effect. This is Council Rock High School South’s Second State Championship title. Later that same day, the Council Rock High School South Marching Band also deliv­ered an incred­i­ble indoor per­for­mance at Neshaminy High School that rocked the gym, earn­ing them a rat­ing of “Outstanding” as well as awards for “Best Colorguard”, “Best Percussion” and “Best Visual.”

The Council Rock High School South Marching Band has been prac­tic­ing extreme­ly hard since ear­ly August to put on their 2018 pro­duc­tion enti­tled, “Into the Light” and is proud to present instru­men­tal soloists Byron Friend, Mae Dumont, and Hadley Ellison and dance soloists Calista Pushman and Kiley Malloy.
